Car Insurance Mitsubishi (Car Insurance). What's wrong with my scooter. Part II?What's wrong with my scooter. Part II? The piston was locked up...but I was able to fix it by using an oil additive. That is no longer my problem. The engine is trying to turn over, but it doesn't . The spark plug is in great shape and is sparking. The oil and gas are both making their way to the engine...Granted the person who had the bike before me let gas sit in it for about a year. (but I'm betting that it is still combustible) The battery is fine. Everything I can think of appears to be fine. Any ideas as to what I can try checking? Short of taking apart the carb and cleaning it, which I have no idea how to do...I can't think of anything else that could be wrong. Everything that should be working appears to be working...What's wrong with my scooter. It's a TNG 49 cc Try some thrust starting fluid and see if it tries to start at all. Is their a choke on the scooter? Another possible problem is that there is not enough compression in the cylinder. Piston was locked up-ok-for what reason.I would almost bet that the rings are gone and the piston is no longer "floating" in the cylinder, instead the skirt is rubbing on the cylinder walls on the end of the down and beginning of the up strokes.Take the plug out and try to turn it over with your finger on the plug hole-it should blast it off of there if the rings are any good. Are you sure you did not break a rod when you freed it up-stick a pencil in the hole to make sure the piston is going up and down.Look into the plug hole at the top of the piston,is there a hole in it?Is the bike turning over and trying to start or when you try to start it is it just dead and won't do nothing.?Gas-air-spark are what makes it go,if you have the compression to fire it. Mitsubishi . How Do I Check Transmission Fluid in a Velvet Drive?Just like an automobile, many large boats have a transmission. A marine transmission transmits the power from the boat's engine into the drive line, which for a boat is a propeller shaft and ultimately the propeller. Velvet Drive is a well known name in the boating industry. Velvet Drive transmissions usually require little maintenance, but there are routine checks that can ensure the transmission is working properly. One of the easiest checks a boat owner can make is checking the transmission fluid. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Clean ragWarm Fluid Level Check Step by Step : 1 Start up the engine and let run until it hits operating temperature. The transmission fluid must be at operating temperature, or at least 190 degrees, to get an accurate reading. Oil expands as it heats up and will begin to drain into the return as it cools. 2 Place the control level in neutral and turn off the engine. 3 Quickly locate the dipstick on the engine. It has a T-shaped handle. 4 Hold the base and turn the handle counterclockwise to remove it. 5 Use a clean rag to wipe the dipstick. Reinsert the dipstick into the engine, then remove it again and read the fluid level. There will be a mark on the dipstick that indicates whether the level is full. 6 If the fluid level is at the full mark, there is no need to add fluid. You should make note of the color of the transmission fluid, and if it appears frothy or smells burnt or rancid. 7 Replace the dipstick and tighten it by holding the base and turning the handle clockwise. Cold Fluid Level Check Step by Step : 1 There is no mark on the dipstick to indicate a correct cold level reading. You will have to make this mark yourself. 2 Perform a warm fluid level check to verify the transmission fluid is full, then let the boat sit for at least 12 hours. 3 Remove the dipstick and take a clean dipstick fluid level reading. 4 Put a permanent mark on the dipstick at the cold fluid level reading. You can now use the dipstick to check the fluid level when cold. Tips & Warnings A seasonal transmission fluid change is recommended for all pleasure boats. Working boats need a change transmission fluid every 1,000 hours. Do not remove the dipstick with the engine running. Hot oil can spray and burn you. ResourcesVelvet Drive Owner's Manual
Mitsubishi . How to Check the Transmission Fluid in a 1998 CamryThe 1998 Toyota Camry automobile was offered with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. If your Camry has an automatic transmission, you need to occasionally check the automatic transmission fluid to ensure it's at the proper level. If the fluid level drops too far, the transmission will not shift smoothly; eventually damage to the transmission will result. Toyota omitted the procedure for checking the automatic transmission fluid from the 1998 Camry owner's manual. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Clean rags Step by Step : 1 Drive the car for approximately 15 miles to bring the transmission and transmission fluid to normal operating temperature. Checking the fluid when the engine is cold will generate an inaccurate reading. 2 Park the car and apply the parking brake. Leave the car running. 3 Press the brake pedal firmly and shift the car's gear selector into "Reverse." Pause a few seconds and move the gear selector downto the next position, "Neutral." Continue this process until you have shifted through all of the Camry's gears, then return the selector to "Park." Leave the car running and open the hood. 4 Locate the automatic transmission dipstick in the engine compartment. It will be a T-shaped handle marked "Trans Fluid," located near the firewall (between the engine compartment and dashboard) toward the driver's side of the engine. Remove the dipstick, wipe it off with a clean rag and replace it into its tube. Make sure it seats completely. 5 Remove the dipstick again and check the fluid level. The dipstick has notches cut into it. Two notches are marked "Hot," and two notches are marked "Cold." The proper fluid level after driving should be between the two notches marked "Hot." If the fluid level is low, you should add fluid by sticking a narrow funnel into the top of the dipstick tube and pouring transmission fluid through the funnel. Tips & Warnings If you need to add fluid, use a funnel to avoid spillage. Add a small amount at a time to avoid overfilling the reservoir. Use caution when removing the dipstick while the engine is still running. *exhaust emissions that pollute the air. If your carburetor has limiter caps, leave them alone. The idle mixture screws were preset at the factory and are probably set properly. If the engine is idling roughly, continue to turn the screw outward until the engine smoothes out. If you turn the screw too far outward, the too-rich fuel/air mixture will cause the engine to run roughly again. If you use a tach/dwell meter, you'll know that the engine is properly set when it returns to the highest idle speed after its initial drop when you turned the screw inward. Two- and four-barrel carburetors have more than one screw. Adjust Mitsubishi . What do you mean by subvention in lending loans?

On Tweety Bird, my 1967 Mustang, I adjusted the screws to make the mixture as lean as possible, to see how far I could cut down on fuel without affecting the smoothness of the idle. If you have an older model with adjustable screws, you may want to try the same thing. However, write down exactly how many times you turned the screw so that you can set it back the way it was if leaning the fuel/air mixture affects performance.
